Human Resource Management Branch

The function of Human Resource Management (HRM) Branch are twofold. First of all, it ensures that the Departmental aims and objectives are achieved through the human assets and this is achieved by ensuring that the relevant capabilities are attained through recruitment, and retained through the effective management of performances and awarding of the right compensations and rewards according to Public Service regulations. Secondly, it ensures that the Department's employees are continuously trained and developed in order to deal with current global, economical, social and technological changes that impact on the PNG mining industry. Finally, the HRM Branch ensures that Human Resource Policies and regulations as stipulated in the Public Services General Orders and the Public Service Management Act are complied with and adhered to.
